Weighton Wolds Cottage York

Once a farm building, a sometime hovel and bothy for Dad's Army, the Cottage is now available to walkers and grockles.. It may be booked by the night, for short breaks or by the week. It has two bedrooms, sleeping up to three people in quiet, unassuming comfort.The Holiday Cottage is tucked away in a secluded spot in Market Weighton just a mile from the Wolds Way, and a couple of hundred yards from the Hudson Way track which crosses the Wolds Way. Your feet need barely touch tarmac to get here making it excellent accommodation for walkers.If you want to use the Cottage as a base from which to walk more than one section of the Wolds Way, you can arrange with us to be transported to or from a pickup point. Alternatively, or in addition, why not use the Cottage as a base from which to visit York, Beverley and Hull either by car or bus. From the footpaths, walk towards the road ahead.(Londesborough Road.).Turn left. the church is ahead of you.The next building on your left is a Doctor's surgery.Look across the road opposite and you will see a gravel drive between a railway style cottage and our red brick wall.Up the drive you will see a white gate to the right.This is number 13.we will meet you with the keys.If arriving by car, please park against the side of the garage, tucking well in.By bus, look for the church, turn into Londesborough Road, walk along until you cross the entrance to a car park, pass the railway cottage,and walk up the gravel drive on the left.We will meet you at the white gate to the right.Please telephone or email you ETA.
