The whole hotel was renovated in 2007 and now combines handsome Georgian features with contemporary touches. With just 12 bedrooms, Burythorpe House has a welcoming, intimate atmosphere. Surrounded by rolling countryside, the hotel is close to York, Malton, Castle Howard and the Yorkshire Coast. Leisure facilities include indoor heated pool, gym, sauna and outdoor tennis court.Our Head Chef Daniel Farrall is one of the region's up and coming chefs, and dining is very much part of the Burythorpe House experience. Dishes reflect the seasons, and use superb local produce. The Priory Restaurant is intimate and atmospheric, with oak panelling and contemporary artworks. Our wine list, especially selected in collaboration with Yorkshire importers Playford Ros, draws from all the best winemaking regions of the world.
