'Sympathetically' to the orginal victorian theme by the present owners.Situated on the south side of the city, Dalescroft guest house is within 20 minutes walking distance of the Railway Station (Railway Museum at the rear of the station), York minster , York Theatre Royal, 15 minutes walking distance to the Shambles ( Yorks famous street) York racecourse, Yorvic Viking Center, City cnter shopping. 10 minutes walk to York City walls and the River Ouse.

Directions

By car, arriving via M1 or A1 take the A64 YorkLeeds and then the A1036 for York city and Bishopthorpe follow road past the racecourse up the hill and at 2nd set of traffic lights take a right Scarcroft road, come along this road until you pass the green on the left and then side streets appear on right, take the 4th road -Russell street- come to top and turn left Dalescroft is 2nd house.LeedsBradford is nearest airport, Taxi or bus to Leeds then train to York.Train- arrive York station and exit main entrance taxi rank to your left, or by bus from across the road number 11 and ask for Southlands chapel this is Southlands road.
